The massive Total War franchise celebrated its 25th anniversary this week. Starting off with Shogun: Total War, it has evolved over the past two decades into a huge series.

Starting in August, Creative Assembly will kick off several months of celebrations going through every game released since the origins in 2000. There will be behind the scenes insights, developer livestreams, tournaments, and some big sales for the whole catalogue.

In December will come the Anniversary Showcase, featuring  new game and content announcements, alongside commentary from the development teams shaping the future of Total War. It has been a challenging few years for the Total War franchise, and I hope the next few years will see improvement.

My favorite total war game is still Medieval 2: Total War, although I have been getting back into the Warhammer franchise. Which Total War game is your favorite? Let us know!
